Otomi celebrates the embroidery mexican tradition. Handmade by the mexican natives.
Mexico is known for its various landscapes that includes mountains, volcanoes, desert and jungles, many archaeological sites and crystal beaches. It reflects the history of the country in which Indian and Spanish elements are mixed.
Otomi celebrates Mexican culture and the traditional art of embroidery on cotton. Otomi women are known all over the world for their hand embroidered fabrics, in which colors reflect important social and cultural values. Otomi ancestors, who have inhabited the highest mountains of La Sierra Madre for centuries, created the most incredible designs taking months to finish their works.
The process starts preparing the organic cotton cloth which is naturally dyed using flowers, plant and vegetables. To make the fabric we use, the Mexican artist Maria Garcia draws freely on fabric without using stencil. Once the embroidery is finished, the fabric is handwashed, let to dry in the sunlight and ironed immediately afterwards.

Any imperfections and differences derive from the cut and craftmanship that make the garment unique.
